SQA Capability Lead

About:

• The Supplier Quality Assurance Capability Lead role undertakes the transformations in SQA-related business processes, practices, people’ or suppliers’ technical capabilities to emerge effective. Supplier Quality Assurance at markets/supply sites/material categories to enable accelerated addressing of critical business risks and gaps in meeting MARS QMP requirements and delivering against business strategy.

You will:

• Assess internal SQA-related process, systems and people technical capabilities in relevant sub-region, geography or materials categories, identifying strength and opportunities, seeking for efficiency in effective delivery of Mars Quality Standart
• Deliver programs to Mars internal business processes and systems that mitigate quality risks found in supplier base, or SQA-related internal/external capabilities
• Co-create and deliver programs of accelerated supplier base development where business need is identified via cross-functional/cross-segment project teams and individual contribution to the supplier base development processes
• Responsible for the Quality assessment and input of quality standards, Q&FS insights, supplier performance in the selection process to define the right Sourcing strategy for the supplier base and potential new suppliers for the Mars Confectionery EMEA region
• Define ambitious quality targets for the suppliers, and deliver year on year reduction in supplier non-conformance to support factory efficiency. Ensure regular reviews of supplier quality performance with suppliers
• Support the supplier to address gaps in Q&FS capability and suggest improvement areas to develop suppliers to meet the right Quality standards
• Lead technical Centres of Expertise to drive operational excellence of supplier base against SQA standards
• Provide foundational SQA processes (auditing, risk assessment) governance: lead calibration audits and NCs in the region. Act as trainer for SQA-related MU trainings assigned by Line Manger

We expect:

• 2+ year supplier auditing experience, preferable LRQA lead auditor
• Knowledgeable in quality management tools & techniques experience e.g. SQA, SPC, LEAN, HACCP
• Experience in facilitation & leading technical work-streams (with suppliers)
• Understandings of FMCG supply chain demands
• Experience in project management
• Able & willing to travel within Europe and Russia for supplier auditing & meetings up to 40%
• Upper-intermediate English is a must
