Data Engineer Junior+/Middle (Remote, Cyprus)

Job responsibilities:

• Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions.
• Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to develop and optimize data pipelines.
• Writing and maintaining ETL scripts to extract, transform, and load data.
• Debugging and resolving data quality issues.
• Monitoring and ensuring the performance and stability of data warehouse systems.
• Contributing to data governance processes and best practices.
• Assisting in the documentation of data warehouse architecture and processes.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer required, experience in a DWH team is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT).
• Familiarity with data integration and processing frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka,Apache Kafka Connect).
• Basic understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Open mind for problem-solving and good troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Will be a plus:

• Work experience in the DWH;
• Work experience in the banking sphere;
• Knowledge of the DBT, Airflow frameworks;
• Understanding Data Vault principles.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Snowflake
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
