Position Summary

  • The Digital Analytics Specialist (Tagging) joins the Analytics Unit within the Global Data Capabilities Team where s/he will own and be responsible for the management and implementation of the Global Tag Management Solution and for ensuring its smooth operations across all Nespresso Digital touchpoints and across all markets by operating and acting as technical implementation Subject Matter Expert. 
  • S/he will be responsible for the operational success of all data services in support of several cross-functional teams and in collaboration with Digital product managers, Data engineers and analysts as well as the IS/IT department.
  • Support HQ and markets (incl. local agency) with testing new tracking needs and publish new tags through Google Tag Manager or any other tagging solutions.
  • Support all advanced platforms implementation through the Tag Management System in close cooperation with Analytics Product Owners. 
  • Proactively propose innovative solutions for tracking and tagging.
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach to execute change at pace with minimum conflict.

A day in the life of...

  • Digital data collection
  • Review and own tracking standards in terms of a product-agnostic data layer, GTM data Layer and other methods of data collection using GTM auto-event tracking directly.
  • Troubleshoot tag/pixel implementation issues related, but not limited to, timing/race conditions, missing attributes, or incorrect configurations.
  • Provide quality assurance and ongoing testing for pixel/tag deployment, leveraging automated tools such as TagInspector.com.
  • Automate setting configuration updates across hundreds of GTM containers and accounts programmatically for mass updates/changes to global configured tags.               
  • Data privacy
  • Manage tags/pixel deployment adhering to GDPR policies and Evidon consent management system.
  • Keeping abreast of industry and data privacy changes to provide direction for use of digital data tools and sources to support marketing aims.
  • Taking care of configuration of tags with respect to privacy requirements but also help with building and defining privacy - safe architecture. To be a partner in discussion with stakeholders (business, legal) when a new privacy architecture needs to be set up.
  • Be up to date with GDPR requirements and ePrivacy Directives.

What will make you successful

  • Education: Business / Engineer / Mathematics / Marketing degree
  • Expertise/ Certifictes: Knowledge of GDPR requirements. Knowledge of ePrivacy Directives (don’t need to know each country’s nuance but should know general requirements of the directive).
  • CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist); good to have.
  • Certifications aroud GDPR and / or ePrivacy.
  • Professional experience:
  • Min 5 years’ experience in digital industry.
  • Working knowledge of digital data collection and data quality principles.
  • Front end development experience that can showcase understanding of web technologies and front end coding languages required in today’s modern web and mobile app delivery. JavaScript is essential. Python/R is nice to have.
  • Proven experience with implementing Google Analytics and Marketing Tags on websites using a tag management system. Background experience with Tag Management Systems (ideally Google Tag Manager). 
  • Background experience configuring a Consent Management Platform. Strong understanding of browser cookies (what they are and how they work).
  • Experience with configuration Google Analytics (GA4, Google Optimize, Firebase a plus).
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and eCommerce.
  • English (fluent)
