Salary Range: $ 65,000 - 80,000

Responsibilities

  • Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements.
  • Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
  • Provides expertise to communicate products, services, and client needs.
  • Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.
  • Builds costing roll-ups for programs requiring new development or support. Prepares quotes and proposals for customers and prospects.
  • Engages with customers to build a longer-term business development relationship.
  • Prepares product order hand-off packages.
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and other required 1:1 tag-ups.
  • Opportunities to travel to customers on-site or business conferences may be available with this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or another technical discipline
  • 1 or more years of experience in business development
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales (e.g. reviewing specifications, creating compliance matrices, creating bid/no-bid packages)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience in Salesforce (or similar CRM tool)
  • Microsoft Project experience a plus
  • Experience with multiple languages to support international customers a plus.
