The Role

Fast, dynamic and exciting, GLAMOUR is the digital destination for today’s millennial and Gen Z audience in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to join the pioneering GLAMOUR digital team and play a leading role in GLAMOUR's beauty content, managing the beauty team and daily content output.

What will you be doing

• Creating and managing beauty content for GLAMOUR UK.
• Ensuring GLAMOUR’s beauty first  positioning and fulfilling all relevant content pillars, working with and reporting into the European Beauty Director, Camilla Kay.
• Candidates must have experience at senior editorial level within beauty on a digital title. 
• Writing - beauty news, report features, reviews and interviews
• Editing - copy from junior team members and commissioned features and columnists
• Ideation - bringing ideas each day for morning meetings and planned content meetings. Forward planning for key editorial themes.
• Attendance at GLAMOUR events 
• Brands - coordinating with the beauty team and liaising with brands on launches and attending events 
• Awards - leading on GLAMOUR Power List Awards
• Commercial - Liaise with Commercial beauty team on relevant new launches and commercial opportunities 
• Filming for editorial social franchises (and commercial franchises where relevant - CN standard fee paid)
• Shoot experience preferred but not essential 

Who you are

• Extensive experience in beauty editorial and working within a digital team
• Strong relationships with beauty brands across the industry, from heritage to social first brands 
• Close relationships with beauty experts in all areas, from sessions stylists and makeup artists to cosmetic doctors and industry bodies
• A passion for good journalism, writing and editing stand out digital content and securing unique, timely and exclusive content
• Proven experience in thinking how a story will translate across social and web with storytelling imagery 
• Management experience working with a team of journalists
