About the role:

Expedition Program Coordinator (EPC) works with Expedition Leader to prepare the daily “Chronicle” or guest program every day, coordinate with lecturers on the best possible schedule for lecture program aboard, communicate with relevant service providers for turnaround ports and organize all arrival and departure travel arrangements for guests. They will also manage shore excursion budgets and prepare at the end of cruise financial tour reports ensuring that vouchers are issued to all tour operators for services rendered. Completes shore excursion accounts and updates budget at the end of each voyage.

Responsibilities:

Daily and Per Voyage Operations (to include but not limited to):

• Working with the Expedition Leader (EL) to prepare the daily “Chronicle” or guest program.
• Coordinating with lecturers on the best possible schedule for lecture program aboard.
• Communication with relevant service providers for turnaround ports.
• Coordinating and organizing all arrival and departure travel arrangements for guests.
• Complete a detailed report for each turnaround port, noting restrictions and recommendations for future calls.
• Accompanying passengers on tours and guide field trips.
• Keeping lecture staff informed of wild life sightings.
• Maintaining updated and accurate filing system for reference.
• Administering shore excursion budgets and preparing all end of cruise financial tour reports and send it to the company head office.
• Ensuring that vouchers are issued to all tour operators for services rendered.
• Completing shore excursion accounts and updating the budget spreadsheet at the end of each voyage.
• Drive Zodiacs as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Expedition or shorex background preferred.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Small boat driving license.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
• Fluent English (verbal and written).
