About the job:
- The ideal candidate is fluent in English and one additional language, possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, Experience managing individuals and teams, is a strong team player, and has a minimum of 5 years of experience in localization of multimedia content, marketing, and technical documents. Software localization and Machine Translation are a plus
Responsibilities:
- Takes care of project E2E cycle (including pre- and post-processing stages, file preparation, coordination with Engineering, DTP and Multimedia tasks in compliance with quality steps and processes) with autonomy
- Manages accounts assigned.
- Manages overall account risk assessment.
- Develops effective project delivery solutions/proposals and adjust workflows as needed.
- Regularly monitors team's morale and satisfaction, provides a good working environment with equal treatment Team Management.
- Provides day-to-day leadership of Project Coordinators and Project Managers as assigned based upon project requirements and resource availability.
- Follows the EOS Methodology, schedules weekly L10 meetings, One on Ones, and performance review meetings. Discusses Rocks and Issues accordingly.
- Supports team members in project-related activities/planning.
- Ensures quality and timeliness of project team's deliveries, responsiveness, and professional treatment of both external and internal clients.
- Maximizes utilization of team members. Prepares alternative work for periods without billable projects by planning for cross-training, career development activities, or resource sharing.
- Coordinates project work with Engineering/Solutions, Vendor Management and Creative Services teams.
- Metrics:
- Meets personal, client and team established KPIs.
- 25% to 50% of time managing projects, in average, unless business needs dictate differently, as agreed with manager.
- 50% to 75% of time managing teams and business, in average, unless business needs dictate differently, as agreed with manager.
- Training:
- Creates training plan for new team members.
- Collaborates on training new team members on specific topics.
- Is responsible for assessing team members skills and determining trainings needed to ensure all team members can competently execute their role on the projects.
- Communication:
- Communicates issues, risks and mitigation plan to Client soon as these are identified.
- Provides and monitors overall customer service to ensure long-term customer relationships and optimum quality of client projects.
- Prepares reports and provides feedback to supervisor regarding progress/forecast of work, status of KPIs, escalation of issues, management support and resources needed.
- Leads project meetings and conference calls (Including project kick-off meetings, weekly client meetings, ad-hoc meetings), Ensuring meetings are recorded and minutes distributed, manages the delivery of agreed upon action items.
- Collaborates with QBRs and post-mortems.
- Finances:
- Project Invoicing.
- Account Budgeting (Localization costs) and Forecast.
- Others:
- Monitors vendor service level agreements.
- Supports development and training of customers’ subject matter experts and reviewers.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Language Level: English C1/C2 (Advanced Fluency).
- Localization Industry experience: +3 years.
- Team Management experience (direct reports): Managing a team of +5 people.
- Client Management experience: Experience on at least 5 different clients.
- Finances: o QBR and postmortem leading o Quoting, Invoicing and Budgeting.
- Tools:
- Experience on at least 3 CAT tools.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Advanced Excel).
- Knowledge of desktop publishing (DTP) tools, applications used in web & software localization, company proprietary applications, an understanding of the related file format.
