UX Writer (with English, Russian, in Georgia)

About the Role

• We’re looking for a UX writer to join our team in Tbilisi. You’ll be working on Lightspeed eCommerce product (ex-Ecwid) that helps people all over the world to start an online business and open an online store without the help of designers and developers.
• Who we are looking for:
• A thoughtful and responsible person with more than one year of working in UX writing OR several years of extensive professional experience in working with texts (editing, media, or journalism) to write about complex things in a simple manner.

Responsibilities

• Writing and editing texts for the Lightspeed eCom product interface.
• Creating UX scenarios together with product managers, designers, and developers.
• Finding ways to deliver value and solve product problems with text.
• Developing and maintaining a culture of writing high-quality text.
• You won’t write technical documentation, slogans, and SEO articles.

Requirements

• More than 1 year of working in UX writing OR several years (2+) of professional experience in working with texts: editing, media, or journalism. This is not an entry-level job.
• Excellent knowledge of English (C2) and Russian is a must — to write without a dictionary.
• Empathy — to know users’ pain and needs and understand how to correctly present information depending on the context.
• Attention to detail — to notice subtleties in the text and cut off everything unnecessary.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma.
• Ability to organize your workflow and keep track of deadlines.
• Ability to build communications within your team and with other departments.
• Desire to develop and grow in the field of UX writing.
