Translator (Russian, English)

Responsibilities:

• Attending to the meetings, doing simultaneous translation
• Reading through original material and rewrite it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
• Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
• Preparing reports related to translation needs
• Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
• Liaise with clients to discuss any unclear points
• Proofreading and editing final translated versions
• Provide quotations for translation services offered
• Consult with experts in specialist areas
• Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation

Requirements:

• BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
• Fluency in Russian and English, Turkish is a plus
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
• Good knowledge of content editing tools
• Familiarity with translation software
• Time-management skills
• Having experience in oil-gas, construction sector is a plus
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
