Senior Accountant (in Dubai)

Description:

• Yandex is looking for an Accountant/Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bookkeeping and maintain all financial records in Oracle for group companies
• Formulate general ledger and closing reports by inputting in-depth details of the company’s transactions
• Provide assistance with balance sheet analysis, tax calculations, and financial statements
• Maintain records for tax purposes and prepare tax declarations by assessing financial transactions based on FTA regulations
• Perform reconciliations and other transactions related to accounts payable and receivable on a regular and timely basis to ensure accurate balances
• Communicate with other departments to finalize financial transactions and obtain closing documentation
• Coordinate with intercompany entities to ensure intercompany transactions are correctly recorded in the system and free of discrepancies
• Support the financial controller in month- and year-end closing and analysis of books
• Support external and internal audit processes
• Comply with all internal policies and procedures
• Ensure all financial systems and reports are running correctly
• Support the financial controller by providing ad hoc information and reports

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
• Understanding of mathematics, accounting, and financial processes
• Special licenses or certifications may be required
