Job Description
- Under supervision of bankers in the Manufacturing & Services team, the successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of private sector development projects at the EBRD in Kyrgyzstan.
- The intern’s key role will be to support a wide range of transaction related processes directly and indirectly linked to preparation, financial analysis, due diligence, monitoring of investment, and general administration of work.
- Activities will include, but are not limited, to the following areas:
- Data gathering, research and analysis of background information on companies and sectors.
- Financial analysis of companies and projects including building of financial projections.
- Contribute to the drafting of internal memos during the project appraisal process.
- Participation in internal and external meetings where appropriate.
- Contribute to market mapping within the relevant industries, contribute to business development.
- Support the team with administrative tasks when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in business administration, economics, finance, or other relevant disciplines. Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong numerical literacy and ability to understand local and international accounting principles, and apply credit analysis using such accounts.
- Strong communication skills: ability to articulate complex transactions and issues in a succinct and clear manner, both written and verbally.
- Business experience in the financial, corporate and/or consulting sector is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge, particularly of Excel, Word and other MS office applications.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential, as well as fluency in Russian.
- Prior work experience of minimum 1 year, preferably at a local commercial bank/audit firm performing similar responsibilities.
- Ability and curiosity to learn, work well independently and meet required deadlines.
