Job Description

Accountabilities

  • Build an extraordinary sales team
  • Drive and deliver the talent and organisational capability agenda in order to attract, retain and develop the best sales talent in the industry;
  • Drive the organisation to work together for the optimum customer experience delivery;
  • Build the right capabilities to win in the long-term (data analytics, data insights, perfect store, Net Revenue Management and e-commerce).
  • Market strategy
  • Differentiate investments to develop an accurate channel strategy
  • Drive differentiated on-trade and off-trade execution;
  • Explore and capitalize on opportunities in alternative channels;
  • Ensure Route to Market is agile to adjust where required using a blend of inhouse, 3rd party and distributor partners where required;
  • Drive the e-commerce strategy in collaboration with the centre of excellence.
  • Revenue Growth Management
  • Optimize product availability and price to improve revenue growth;
  • Aim to sell the right product to the right customer at the right time for the right price and with the right pack;
  • Define pricing strategy and develop principled pricing tactics to improve profitability;
  • Develop and apply a portfolio optimization model;
  • Develop and supervise Cost to Serve analytics.
  • Drive Every Day Great Execution
  • Ensure the right stores are holding the product the consumer wants;
  • Ensure the product is merchandised in the right place in-store;
  • Ensure the brand is in stock, in the right pack size, at the time the shopper arrives;
  • Ensure the right price and promotional offer is made to the shopper;
  • Leverage technology (Trax) to win at the shelf and drive phenomenal execution.
  • Category Growth Strategy
  • Oversee category management pivotal initiatives designed to further development leadership position within a narrow strategic customer base;
  • Work closely with top to top relationships with key customers;
  • Settle customers to truly invest in to drive category growth.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a various Commercial / Customer Marketing roles with similar seniority
  • Holistic skills across a variety of Commercial and Customer Marketing pillars
  • A track record of leading ground-breaking business results
  • A strategic problem solver with a wide range of strategic and operational customer marketing experience in matrixed environments within FMCG blue chip multinationals
  • Experience leading a sizable sales and/or customer marketing organization across multiple markets
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect
  • Successful management of senior team members at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes
  • Being able to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated brilliant execution to impeccably high standards
  • Deep personal accountability for great performance
  • High level of English language capability required
