Marketing Legal Counsel (in Kazakhstan)

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of business activities;
• Advising on tobacco regulatory framework with a proper understanding of the main terms and conditions of Tobacco Control Law, Antimonopoly and other applicable laws;
• Advising on general business law issues and managing the commercial legal issues of the company;
• Drafting and negotiating simple and complex contracts including but not limited to those related to Supply, Service, Lease agreements and other typical contracts;
• Secure compliance of business activities (Sale activities) with relevant laws and regulations;
• Ensure compliance with the internal controls, procedures and other formalities;
• Calculate and mitigate legal risks in business process and decision making;
• Proactively communicate legal concepts to business colleagues in clear, simple terms.

Requirements:

• Higher completed education in Law and practical commercial legal experience of not less than 3 (three) years;
• Working knowledge of commercial law, company law, antimonopoly regulation (preferably working as an in-house lawyer in FMCG);
• Effective negotiation skills;
• Ability to apply knowledge of legal drafting to produce standard business critical agreements;
• Strong inter-personal, oral and written communication skills;
• Fluent knowledge of Kazakh, Russian and English (excellent written and spoken);
• Appropriate level of maturity to provide credibility at senior levels externally and internally.
