Senior Game QA Tester (Remote / in Canada)

• In addition to game products such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse also launched the dynamic desktop software N0va Desktop, the community product HoYoLAB, and created a variety of products such as animations, comics, music, novels, and merchandise around our original creative concept.

Responsibilities:  

• Coordinate test efforts and take on test requests from Developers/Software Engineers
• Monitor and track game feature progress
• Identify, isolate, regress, and communicate issues/defects effectively and efficiently
• Create, maintain, and execute Test Cases and Tasks using in-house and 3rd-party testing tools
• Maintain documentation to transfer knowledge and provide mentorship to newer team members
• Uses in depth knowledge of the feature under their ownership to drive automation, test tools and possible telemetry hooks to more efficiently verify their area.
• Responsible for one or more test areas and features/releases

Requirements:

• 5+ years testing experience in game development QA
• Understanding of game testing processes and best practices
• Understanding of game Development Lifecycles and project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Waterfall)
• QA experience with different platforms (e.g. PlayStation, XBOX, Mobile, PC etc.)
• Familiarity with software development tools such as UE, TAPD, xmind, or Perforce, and Microsoft Office productivity software
• Must be able to work autonomously and self-educate with supportive leadership, but limited direction and supervision
• Passion for games and demonstrable understanding of game industry and gaming trends
• Proficiency in at least two languages: Mandarin, English or French
• At least 1 released game title
• Experience with the UE4 engine development is an asset
• Experienced on vehicle related game development is an asset
