Specific tasks
- Under the supervision of the FMS Manager and in close collaboration with various PFP units, the intern will:
- Regularly upload and curate content on Weshare in an effective manner.
- Assist in the gathering and organizing of information around new and existing content for key counterparts in-house.
- Address queries and request for Weshare searches from National Committees and Country Offices.
- Support the development of global content packages by looking for the right kind of raw footage and images.
- Regularly search different UNICEF websites, social media platforms and blogs for great stories that can be share with the content community.
- Update the content calendar on a regular basis.
- Provide any other technical and operational assistance as appropriate and required by the team.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
- (Undergraduate degree (BA) in business or technology based capacity or relevant field is preferred.).
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Possess strong communications skills and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a set time frame.
- Good level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mailchimp. Analytics software a plus.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office.
- Have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
