About Us

Activity description

• Youth cafe project within Fryshuset Nybro. Together with the staff, you will run a cafe for young people from 13-25 y.o.
• You will take part in planning and executing activities, games, happenings, and inspirational events.
• A café is a place that we see has the potential to develop and wants to do this with young people who are passionate about seeing opportunities.
• We work a lot with young people's relocation and see what is one of the most important parts of our work.
• The transfer can be that young people are given the opportunity to develop in their passion but also through support with CV writing, job opportunities, or education.
• Our cafés are used today as the first opportunity for jobs for young people under 25 years of age.
• The volunteer follows our annual plan, where holiday activities and regular activities look a little different.
• During the holidays, we open up the possibility for other activities, many of which take place outdoors.

Accomodation, food and transport arrangements

• All costs are covered by the European Solidarity Corps program. 
• The money for food and pocket expenses will be covered by the European Solidarity Corpse, on average in the amount of 300-400 euros/month.
• Accommodation will be found by Fryshuset. Food and pocket money we will transfer to volunteers` bank accounts monthly.

Training during the activity

• You will get 2 trainings during your volunteering, once you arrive, the Swedish National Agency will organize on-arrival and mid-term training. Also, there will be a Swedish course for the volunteers.

Participant profile

• We are looking for female volunteers from different countries and Sweden too interested in sports, music, the environment, dance, recycling etc.
• 22 years old or above English speaking on a high school level Confident approach A day as a volunteer with us at Fryshuset Nybro will be varied and developing.
• 3 evenings/week, weekdays 15: 00-21: 30, 2 weekend evenings/month Friday, Saturday. Sundays free 4 h / week Swedish lessons.
