Copywriter with Chinese Language (Remote / Moscow / Riga)

About the role

• Joom Group is an international tech company, which owns several projects. The most famous project is Joom — a mobile marketplace with more than 400M users. Our offices are located in Latvia, Russia, the USA, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Luxembourg.
• We are currently looking for a copywriter to develop an information portal for Chinese sellers and write legal notices to sellers on behalf of Joom. This employee will collect oral and written information about the platform from different teams, write articles and news alerts in English and Chinese, upload articles to the portal, and send news to sellers.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with product managers on the issue of writing and editing articles and news notifications
• Writing articles and news alerts in English and Chinese
• Setting up automated news notifications
• Uploading articles to the platform and be responsible for their structure
• Timely updating the information in the articles
• Translating texts from English into Chinese and vice versa, controlling the timing of translations (if the translation is not performed by a copywriter), proofreading, editing, and ensuring consistency in terminology

Requirements

• Fluent or native Chinese
• Ability to write linguistically, editorially correct and concise texts in publicistic functional style
• Fluent English
• Basic knowledge of the Russian language

Preferred

• Education in the field of journalism or philology
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other graphics editor
• Understanding the specifics of B2B content
• Experience as a copywriter / translator of written materials
