Business Development Specialist Contract Logistics

Responsibilities

• Pipeline development: warehousing and distribution opportunities.
• Market screening and analysis (real estate dynamics/vacancy rate/trends/competitors).
• Align approach and sales strategy, customer contacts with the General Sales department and KAM on a local, regional, global level within Kuehne+Nagel.
• Preparation of responses to tender documentation for customers (RFI, RFP, RFQ) including the collection of required documents for commercial response .
• Coordination of response with all relevant business fields within Kuehne + Nagel and engagement with the required resources in order to finalize the value solution.
• Preparation of required commercial documentation (commercial offers, presentations and show cases, standard contracts and annexes to it, etc).
• Support in arrangement the customer meetings.
• Participation in decision-making Go / No-Go.
• Announce NO-GOs to the customers.
• Negotiate the offer.
• Preparation and negotiation of the customer contract after the business is awarded.
• Mail-out questionnaires.
• Participation in the events related to contract logistics such as exhibitions, conferences.
• Collaboration with other Business units within the Kuehne+Nagel (Legal, Finance, Compliance etc).
• Translation of related documents to English and Russian.
• Fulfillment of personal targets set by Management, including targets for Contract Logistics business development and other KPIs.
• Pipeline status and actions to be taken, to keep CRM data up to date.
• Continuous development of his/her qualification level.

Skills

• University degree.
• Minimum 1 year experience with a Logistics Service provider in a similar role.
• Warehousing and distribution operations knowledge. 
• Strong knowledge of Power Point, knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Logistics processes and goods flows.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Good Inter personnel and communication skills to ensure.
• Capability of working under stress.
• Driving license (B-category).
• Ability to travel (up to 50%).
• Upper Intermediate English.
• Literate oral and written language (both Russian and English).
• Confident PC user: MS Office.
• Presentable appearance.
• A VPN is required to respond to a vacancy.
