Russian / English Translator

About the role:

• Part-time Russian / English translator (Remote)
• At Novakid, we have a mission to create the best in the world online education platform for children. With over 50,000 students and 2,000 teachers, we are already one of the most popular language learning platforms for 4 - 12 year olds in Europe and Asia.
• We work in more than 25 countries and communicate with our clients on a daily basis. In order to speak with them in one language, we pay great attention to the localisation process. The quality of our content in the English language is extremely important to us as it is a basis for further translation and text adaptation to other languages.
• We are now looking for a native English (British) speaker to join our growing localisation team as an English / Russian translator.

Requirements:

• Native English (British) speaker with fluency or proficiency in Russian. A proof of proficiency will be required in a form of a native speaker-reviewed paid test assignment
• Impeccable written English skills
• Good knowledge of social media platforms specificity and terminology or willingness to acquire one promptly
• Must have prior experience doing translations
• A degree in linguistics or related field would be a plus
