Deputy Director of Finance

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for management reporting according to the Corporate Standards (Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Capital expenditure report, Cash Flow etc)
• Maintain adequate records and control of all assets, liabilities and transactions of the hotel
• Participation in internal and external audits are conducted regularly
• Provide compliance with all regulations and operating procedures
• Provide assistance to Department Heads and Finance Director in preparation of both the annual and revised profit and capital appropriation budgets and forecasts, the final compilation of which is reported to the Corporate Office
• Maintain adequate records to reflect the comparison of the actual expenditures for operating equipment, furniture and equipment and special projects with the annual budgeted amounts
• Approve all monthly journal vouchers before they are posted to the general ledger
• Ensure accurate monthly closing of books and preparation of monthly financial statement of operations
• Review, inspect and approve all periodic reports prepared by accounting staff, prior to their internal/external distribution
• Supervise timely preparation and mailing of invoices and monthly statement of all credit accounts and the subsequent regular mailing of invoices and monthly statement of all credit accounts and the subsequent regular mailing of reminders and collection letters
• Supervision of Financial department including Accounting, Purchasing and IT Requirements: · Fluent English (written & spoken)

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Accounting preferably in hotel business
• Higher economical education
• Literate (competent) speech and written language
• Knowledge of the basics of the civil and tax law
