Sustainability Communications Manager

Responsibilities

• Leading Corporate and Brand-specific Sustainability programs in line with P&G’s “Ambition 2030” goals
• Developing credible partnerships with the key Sustainability-focused NGOs (e.g., WWF)
• Training our employees on Environmental Sustainability and Ingredient Transparency to equip Sales, Marketing, and multi-functional teams with the science know-how to manage the business context
• Being an active member of Industry Associations and local Working Groups to shape the external environment
• Providing expertise into joint business plans with the key retailers
• Acting as an ambassador for our products and programs via Media, P&G-Retailer Shopper Events (online or via retailers’ magazines), our own or partners’ social media channels (e.g., Ask the Experts)
• Developing a strong Sustainability network with retailers, professionals and other industry groups that can be activated to launch proactive communications and support crisis management efforts
• Solving environmental, ingredient, safety, and other science-based issues with clients (retailers), advocates, consumers partnering with GR and providing guidance to Sales & Marketing teams

Qualifications

• Strong English skills (Upper-Intermediate or higher level)
• Higher education degree, ideally Scientific or Engineering background to establish credibility with external experts
• Passion for Sustainability with a proven knowledge or interest in developing a deep expertise in this area
• Confident, effective communicator able to translate complex scientific concepts into easily understood stories
• Independent, self-driven but highly collaborative to develop a cross-functional internal network and foster external partnership
