The Career Opportunity
- We are looking for a motivated individual with an analytical mindset to join S&P Global Financial services and public finance analytical team focused on Russia/CIS as a Research Assistant based in Moscow.
- The successful candidate will support rating analysts in their analytical work on local and regional governments, banks and insurance companies in Russia/CIS.
- You will be trained by the team members to familiarize yourself with our analytics, rating criteria, processes, systems and databases, and corporate policies.
- We also expect you to prepare and pass credit analyst certifications.
The Team / The Business
- The team covers more than 100 ratings across Russia/CIS.
- The team produces high-quality research and investor presentations and deals media enquiries on rated sectors and issuers.
- Rating surveillance (including committees) involve day-to-day interactions with analysts across the EMEA region.
- Most issuer interaction takes place in Russian or English, in which strong communication skills are paramount. Additional language skills are quite welcome.
Requirements
- Graduate in public policy, finance or economics, or maths with an understanding of financial markets.
- Excellent Russian and English oral and written communication skills. Additional languages would be an asset.
- Strong numerical skills, supported by the ability to quickly absorb, analyze, and act upon information is required to maintain and enhance the quality and timeliness of our analysis.
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to work across teams within S&P Global Ratings, with a desire for continuous improvement and innovation, whilst adhering to established ratings criteria, methodology, policies and procedures. We operate in a highly regulated environment.
- A VPN is required to respond to a vacancy.
