Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) Lead (Kuala Lumpur)

What You’ll Do

• Drive the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial projections.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify financial trends, and support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to align financial goals with business objectives and ensure strategic cohesion.
• Prepare financial presentation materials for the board and investors, delivering clear and actionable insights.
• Provide leadership with strategic recommendations on revenue growth opportunities and risk mitigation.
• Analyze profit margin trends, identify key drivers, and work closely with business leaders to implement improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement cost control measures and process optimizations to enhance profit margins.
• Monitor and report on the outcomes of margin improvement initiatives.
• Develop and refine revenue forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability in projections.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to build robust forecasting models, incorporating market trends, seasonality, and business dynamics.
• Manage strategic and operational initiatives, leading process improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with executive leadership to support company-wide strategic initiatives, such as fundraising or M&A activities.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A within a large multinational corporation or late-stage startup.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A strong analytical mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle everyday challenges effectively.
• A team player with a proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior business leaders.
• A track record of identifying opportunities and driving strategic decision-making through financial insights.
• MBA or CPA qualifications (preferred).
• Advanced skills in Excel (or Google Sheets) and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power Query).
