SkyPark at Santa's Village is an outdoor adventure park with year-round mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and open air activities in the Skyforest section of Lake Arrowhead, California.

About the job:

Santa's Elves play a crucial role in spreading holiday cheer and ensuring a magical experience for guests at SkyPark. Elves must possess excellent guest service skills, be cheerful and energetic with each interaction, and manage time effectively to coordinate Santa visits and breaks. They will assist in taking reservations, manage lines, learn the photo system, and be knowledgeable about the park's entertainment schedule, map, and Stories of the NorthWoods. This role may also include assisting with the Tree Lighting Ceremony and performing as a mascot. Elves must be able to endure cold temperatures, fit into elf costumes, and perform for extended hours. Position reports to the Creative and Performing Arts Managers and requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend all mandatory training sessions for the department.
Check and adhere to scheduled shifts, clocking in and out on time.
Obtain the proper costume for each shift from Wardrobe and ensure it remains clean.
Review and follow the entertainment schedule, Show Quality Standards, Wardrobe Protocols, and specific protocols for Santa's Elves as set by SkyPark.
Provide professional and friendly interactions with guests and fellow employees.
Manage line control and coordinate Santa visits efficiently, ensuring an enjoyable experience for guests.
Take reservations and operate the photo system efficiently.
Assist with the Tree Lighting Ceremony, if needed.
Perform as a mascot or mascot assistant when necessary.
Maintain costume cleanliness, keeping it away from food and drink.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Ability to remain cheerful and energetic throughout interactions.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
Must not be claustrophobic, as performing in large or tight-fitting costumes is required.
Capability to work 8-9 hour shifts with breaks, standing for long periods.
Ability to endure cold temperatures.
Must fit into elf costuming as provided.
Availability to work weekends and holidays during the holiday season.
