• LSEG Commodities Research is seeking for a Market Analyst to join the Russian Commodities Content & Research team. The team delivers market data, provides fundamental forecasts of supply, demand and prices, and publishes in-depth reports. Your primary focus will be on oil, oil products and petrochemicals

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our regular report rotation
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness per company standards for the covered product/market including direct contact with customers
• Process and maintain data accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using technical and basic market knowledge
• Improve content and design of our Eikon-based analytical tools, charts, and tables
• Build domain expertise in oil & oil products & petrochemicals market content
• Build experience in maintaining and developing market models
• Test new database/application releases where appropriate, providing expert user feedback

Qualifications

• Oil & Petrochemicals market research background
• MS Excel
• Basic Programming experience in Python, Power Query M, DAX is nice to have or willingness to learn
• Practical experience of working with various databases
• Excellent spoken/written English
• Solid knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets
• Ability to track down complex data quality and data integration issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems
• Strong grounding in statistics and/or operational research
